Doug Coby And Ryan Preece In Northeastern Midget Association Action At Lee USA Speedway

The two drivers that topped the standings of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will take their show on the road to Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H. for some Northeastern Midget Association action.

Newly crowned Whelen Modified Tour champion Doug Coby of Milford will make his NEMA debut in Sunday’s 25-lap feature for the division at Lee.

Coby. who clinched his first Whelen Modified Tour series title Sunday at Thompson International Speedway, will drive a Bertrand Racing entry at Lee’s annual Oktoberfest event.

Ryan Preece of Berlin, who finished second to Coby in the Whelen Modified Tour standings for 2012, will join him in the NEMA field Sunday at Lee. Preece will run a Cantor Racing entry at the event.

Also on tap on Lee Sunday, the Valenti Modified Racing Series will hold its season ending event and crown its 2012 champion. Jon McKennedy of Chelmsford, Mass., looking for his third VMRS title, leads Rowan Pennink by 33 points going into the final race.
