Ron Silk Adds Name To Entry List For Upcoming North-South Shootout At Caraway Speedway

Whelen Modified Tour regular Ron Silk of Norwalk has added his name to the list of entries for the Tour Type Modified portion of the John Blewett Memorial North-South Shootout scheduled for Nov. 7-9 at Caraway Speedeway in Sophia, N.C.

It will mark the first time Silk will run the event since it moved to Caraway Speedway in 2011.

Silk, the 2011 Whelen Modified Tour champion, is one of 17 drivers currently on the entry list for the 125-lap Tour Type Modified event, which will take place on Nov. 9. Qualifying for the event is Nov. 8.

Silk has never competed at Caraway driving for current Whelen Modified Tour team owner Eddie Partridge, but he has run at the track in the past when he was competing for the North Carolina based Hill Enterprises organization.

Other showcase names on the current entry list for the Tour Type Modified feature at the North-South Shootout also includes Matt Hirschman of Northampton, Pa, Chuck Hossfeld of Ransomville, N.Y., Chris Pasteryak of Lisbon, Charlie Pasteryak of Lisbon, Tommy Barrett Jr. of Millis, Mass., George Brunnhoelzl III of West Babylon, N.Y., Andy Seuss of Hampstead, N.H., Burt Myers of Walnut Cove, N.C. and Jason Myers of Walnut Cove, N.C.
