NASCAR announced Tuesday that four NASCAR Modified Tour events on the 2014 schedule will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1, though none will garner live or same day broadcast.
The events to be broadcast include both points race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the division’s combination event with the NASCAR Southern Modified Tour at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway and the season finale at Thompson Speedway.
The first New Hampshire Motor Speedway event, scheduled for July 12, will be broadcast on Friday July 18 at noon.
The Bristol Motor Speedway event on Aug. 20 will hit the airwaves on Sunday Aug. 31 at noon. The second New Hampshire Motor Speedway event from Sept. 20 will be broadcast on Saturday Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. The season finale at Thompson from Oct. 19 will be shown on Saturday Nov. 1 at 10 a.m.
No live coverage sucks. I don’t want to watch a race a week after it happens. I hope NBC does the tour right in 2015.

I have a great nephew that runs the Whelen Modified tour races….I am on disability and can’t get to his races….its a great thrill to see it live on TV when it comes available which is far and few between…..I took on Fox Sports 2 for an extra $10.00 a month just to watch him live….so now your telling me that it will be on Fox Sports 1 a week later and NOT live !!!!!!!!! You have got to be kidding me…..!!!!!!!!! Whats the point ?????? I will already know the outcome before it airs without the thrill of seeing it live and cheering him on in my home ……well I guess its time to put that extra 10.00 a month in my pocket instead of wasting it ….and maybe its time to down grade even more and not bother with Fox Sports 1 either…..that will definitely help my pocketbook……THANKS SO MUCH NASCAR FOR TAKING AWAY ONE OF THE BEST JOYS IN THE WORLD WATCHING MY GREAT NEPHEW RACE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
