Helping Hand: Josh Galvin Gets Budweiser Blastoff Street Stock Victory At Waterford

New Speedbowl LogoWATERFORD – There was a time now Josh Galvin and Ed Puleo were two of the most heated rivals on the track in Street Stock division action at the Waterford Speedbowl.

Sunday at Waterford it was Galvin praising his former rival and now teammate with Mr. Rooter Racing.

Galvin, of Franklin, won the 30-lap Street Stock feature Sunday at the Budweiser Blastoff at the Waterford Speedbowl.

Travis Jurcik of Chaplin was second and Monte Gibbs of Haddam third.

Puleo is a former Street Stock division champion at Waterford, but his focus these days at the track is on his SK Modified divison ride. But over the winter he was part of the crew helping to get Galvin’s ride prepared for a championship hunt at Waterford.

“It’s almost like a dream come true,” Galvin said. “He’s been doing this a lot longer than me. We were vicious competitors in the past. We’re kind of in different divisions now. It’s almost like we can be friends again. Learning from him and his experience and the way he does things, it just helps us out so much. It’s almost unexplainable how much it’s done for us.”
