Memorial Day weekend traditionally means the return of the Whelen Modified Tour to Stafford Motor Speedway.
This year that tradition changes. The Valenti Modified Racing Series takes over Friday night at Stafford, the first of three visits to the track this year for the division.
At the New London-Waterford Speebdowl is back in action Saturday with their third Town Night special.
Also, in the western hills of the state, Lime Rock Park comes to life this weekend with the Trans Am Series and more taking over the winding road course Friday and Saturday

Diego Monahan is third, 19 points off the lead. Jordan is fourth, 21 points behind Rocco. … Jason Palmer held off Rocco last week to win the Late Model feature.
