NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour points leader Ryan Preece rolls into Thompson Speedway for Wednesday’s Mr. Rooter 125 riding a hot streak.

The Berlin driver is coming off victories in the Mr. Rooter 161 on May 30 at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl and the TSI Harley-Davidson 125 on June 5 at Stafford Motor Speedway.

So the question is, can Preece make it three victories in 12 days?

Incidentally, the last driver to win three consecutive Whelen Modified Tour events was Preece. He pulled off the feat in 2013, the season he won the series title.

So what do you think?

Can Preece pull off the Connecticut short track Dozen Day Triple?

Unfortunately, he will probably win 4 in a row since Riverhead is next after Thompson, and he runs Riverhead weekly so he will have an advantage there.

  2. Riverhead provides for equal opportunity wrecking. Anybody can be wrecked at any time.

  3. That’s true ‘goodfella, but he sure seems to be lucky and avoid all the trouble lately.
