WATERFORD – Josh Galvin is a New London-Waterford Speedbowl regular.

But when it comes to jumping into touring division events at the shoreline oval, the Franklin driver has shown a knack for being a quick study.

Earlier this year at the Speedbowl Galvin won in his first career start in the Mr. Rooter New England Truck Series.

Saturday it was another touring series victory for the former Limited Sportsman champion at Waterford.

Galvin rolled to a dominant victory in the 30-lap 30-lap North East Street Stock Tour feature. It was the first career start in the series for Galvin in the division first appearance at Waterford.

“That in itself is just an amazing feeling,” Galvin said of winning in his first starts in both the Truck Series and the Street Stock Tour.

Galvin’s team recovered from a wreck earlier in the evening in the track’s normal Limited Sportsman feature.

“These guys just rallied,” Galvin said. “We ran back to the shop and got all the parts we needed and put it all on there and made it out for this thing. We would have been happy just hanging on to a top-five. Winning is just unbelievable.”

Chris Douton of Waterford was second and Jim Boyle of Waterford third.

  1. Anyone know where the complete results for this race can be found? I looked on the Speedbowls and the NESST website and could not find the info.

  2. Old Timer,

Check the Critical Signs Results Page at RaceDayCT. Full field results there.

  3. Thanks Shawn for the info, I just wanted to see how the regular Speedbowl Competitors stood up to the Touring Drivers. You would think the track or the series’ website would have something up about the results by now.

  4. How come Josh didn’t run the SK Light? Hes been fast.

  5. TC FAN,
I was told he decided to not run the SK Light so he could focus on the two other events he was running that night.
