THOMPSON – Dave Trudeau ended the 2015 season at Thompson Speedway celebrating a Mini Stock division championship.

Sunday he kicked off defense of that championship right by heading right back to the front.

Trudeau, of Mansfield, won the 15-lap Mini Stock feature Sunday at Thompson Speedway.

Scott Michalski of Killingly was second and Wayne Burroughs Jr. of Oakdale third.

Josh Wood of Palmer, Mass. led every circuit on the way to victory in the 20-lap Limited Sportsman feature.

Corey Hutchings of Salem was second and Scott Sundeen of Douglas, Mass. third.

“It feels pretty great getting the first race out of the way,” Wood said. “Hopefully more to come. I know I started out front with some good guys, Al Stone III and Corey Hutchings up there. They’re the fast ones in this division so it feels good to beat them.”

William Wall of Shrewsbury, Mass. scored victory in the 25-lap Late Model feature.

Larry Gelinas of Buxton, Me. was second and Matt Lowinski-Loh of Milford, Mass. third.
