STAFFORD – Rowan Pennink is making his reign as SK Modified champion at Stafford Motor Speedway a celebratory one thus far in 2016.

Friday Pennink rolled to his third victory in four starts in 2016 in winning the 40-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Pennink won the first two events of the season before finishing 10th in the May 27 feature at Stafford.

“We love to win on night’s that the [Whelen Modified Tour] is here and big shows are here at Stafford,” Pennink said. “I couldn’t ask for a better car. The thing was on rails. I just had to keep it out of trouble and the thing went right to the front. I couldn’t have done it without this entire 99 team. They put an awesome car under me every single week here.”

Keith Rocco of Wallingford was second and Ted Christopher of Plainville third.

Pennink passed Rocco for the lead on lap 23 and went unchallenged the rest of the way.
