Track crews work to dry the racing surface this evening at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl
WATERFORD – The laps are being turned aplenty this evening at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl, though not in competition at the moment.
Laps are rather being turned by the track drying crews working to get the racing surface dry to begin features for the first day of the Bemers Big Show at the Speedbowl.
Limited practice and most qualifying has taken place at this point in preparation for a host of features scheduled for tonight.
At this point track officials are optimistic that an evening window of clearing will hold up.
When the track is dry the Granite State Pro Stock Series will kick off a long list of features scheduled for the night.

God! Wouldn’t want to sit through all that tomorrow , to many classes ,hope the weather gets better tonite. Tomorrow should just be the mods that (in its self ) will take all day to run, after 5 hours I m shot ready t o go home…….
17 features tonight before midnight, are you serious? Should have pulled the plug on this a long time ago. Seems like a repeat of the legends national.

Seriously though, the Mod’s are what draw the grandstand crowd. When the Mod’s are NOT run as the LAST feature, the stands clear out when the Mod feature is over. That is why they run the Mod’s last… to keep the people there, the beer flowing & the concession stands selling food ’til the bitter end.
