Friday night at Stafford Motor Speedway it was the champion got to take center stage for the time season.
Johnny Walker, the reigning champ of the DARE Stock division, scored his first victory of the season in the division Friday.
Wednesday Walker secured more accolades for the winning night and champion effort.
Walker was this week’s winner in voting for the New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award.
Walker collected 245 of the votes cast this week (63.3 percent) to take home the honors.
Brett Gonyaw, winner of the SK Light Modified feature Friday at Stafford, was second in the voting with 111 votes (28.7 percent).
Walker will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.
