Granite State Pro Stock Series Entry List Released For Inaugural NHMS Event

Saturday the Granite State Pro Stock Series will make its debut at the 1.058-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway as part of the inaugural New England Short Track Showdown.

The Granite State Pro Stock Series is part of a four division card at the track Saturday. The series will run a 50-lap event. The card also includes a 50-lap Valenti Modified Racing feature, a 30-lap North East Mini Stock Tour feature and a 30-lap open Street Stock feature.

On Monday New England Short Track Showdown officials released a preliminary entry list for the Granite State Pro Stock Series, which includes 19 teams pre-entered for the event and five drivers that expressed verbally that they’re interested in participating.

Numerous drivers on the entry list have Connecticut short track racing ties.

Cory Casagrande of Stafford and Devin O’Connell of Madison are former regulars at Stafford Motor Speedway. Mike O’Sullivan of Springfield, Mass. and Tommy O’Sullivan of Wilbraham, Mass. are former regulars at Thompson Speedway. Mike Scorzelli of of Feura Bush, N.Y. is a former regular at both Thompson and Stafford. Barry Gray of Belchertown, N.Y. has been competing at local tracks for decades and was a former regular at the old Riverside Park Speedway in Agawam, Mass.

On the verbal commitment list are former Stafford regular and Whelen Modified Tour regular Matt Swanson of Acton, Mass. and Stafford regular Joe Graf Jr., of Mahwah, N.J.
