Kyle Busch Wins Pole For Xfinity Series At NHMS; Ryan Preece To Start Sixth

LOUDON, N.H. – NASCAR Monster Energy Cup star Kyle Busch won the pole for the Xfinity Series Overton’s 200 in qualifying Saturday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour regular Ryan Preece of Berlin, making his first start in the series in a Joe Gibbs Racing ride, was sixth fastest in qualifying.

Busch toured the 1.058-mile oval with a fast lap of 29.445 seconds (129.353 mph).

Fellow Monster Cup Energy drivers Brad Keselowski (29.510 seconds, 129.068 mph) and Kyle Larson (29.568, 128.815 mph) were second and third in qualifying.

Preece is making his first Xfinity Series start of the 2017 season. He drove full-time for Johnny Davis Motorsports with the division in 2016. He is scheduled to make a second start with Joe Gibbs Racing on July 29 at Iowa Speedway.
