Second US Pro Stock/SLM Nationals At Seekonk Speedway Postponed To July 19

(Press Release from Seekonk Speedway)

Unfortunately, Mother Nature was the winner on Wednesday night at Seekonk Speedway. Widespread rain hit the area just after practice rounds had concluded for the 2nd annual US Pro Stock/SLM Nationals and it forced the postponement of the 200 lap main event.

The race has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, July 19 with the 200-lap distance to remain the same. The Legends Cars will also return for a 25-lap feature, with a third division for the raceday to be announced in the coming days.

The 2nd annual event will be worth $10,000 for the driver that pulls into Victory Lane. Top names like David Darling, Joey Pole and Derek Griffith, along with defending race winner Tom Scully Jr., will be chasing the prize next week along with many others.

Drivers, fans and teams are encouraged to keep watch to the website and Facebook page for the updated schedule for next Wednesday’s race.

Fans, drivers and teams looking for more information on the race should visit www.seekonkspeedway.com over the coming days for updates. As always, you can also follow the track on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates.
