(Press Release from New England Racers’ Auction & Trade Show)

The Hoosier Tire East/Sunoco Race Fuels New England Racers Auction/Trade Show presented by CARQUEST Genden Auto Parts will offer plenty of seminars this Saturday, December 2.

“ What a bargain to pay $10 to listen to (Renee) Dupuis, (Eddie) Flemke, (Randy) Lajoie, (Bobby) Seymour, (Phil) Moran, (Ryan) Preece (Brad) LaFontaine (Shawn) Waddell and (Jags) Palmer talk about tricks of the trade to make your race team more competitive and safer.” stated Joe Lewandoski

Renee Dupuis will have a “Woman In Racing” seminar at 9:45 a.m. There will be a question and answer format. This seminar will have Alexandra Fearn a Limited Late Model driver at Stafford Motor Speedway along Meghan Fuller a Limited Sportsman driver at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park and Nicole Larose who has been doing an internship at Stafford Motor Speedway and doing driver interviews.

Dupuis raced in the Pro 4 Modifieds, Tour Type Modifieds at Riverside Park Speedway along with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour in the SK Modifieds. Dupuis became the first woman in the 51 year history of Riverside Park Speedway to win a tour type modified race back on April 24, 1999. The speedway held Twin 35’s that night and Dupuis won the second twin modified feature. Dupuis calls the win one of the biggest accomplishments in her career.

Ed Flemke, Jr out of Racework Chassis will have a seminar at 10:15 a.m on Saturday morning

“ I think this whole deal is kind of different and unique to New England. Other parts of the country do this all the time. It’s going to be unique for New England to have an auction type thing. I am looking forward to it.” Flemke, Jr Said

Randy Lajoie from The Joie Of Seating will be on hand as his seminar will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Bobby Seymour from Seymour Racing Enterprise and Cody McLean from HMS Motorsport.

“ Anytime we can help educate racers on current technology, current safety issues. That’s something I am looking forward to. The Springfield area always had wonderful trade shows in the past and they have gone away. Bobby Seymour has pushed really hard to try to get it going back and now with this one. I think this area is such a prime area where all the racers that are from New England that we can get something going up there to help the safety of the racers.” Lajoie Said

Randy’s father bought a seat from Mark Donahue in 1972. It is a Mark Donahue design seat. The seat is a very hard thing to make out of aluminum and is something the seat manufacturers have never done it before. At the time, the seats were made out of fiberglass and NASCAR made Lajoie make them out of aluminum back in 1994.

Phil Moran is a five time champion crew chief on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. His seminar will begin at 12:45 p.m. His seminar will feature chassis maintenance, race car maintenance and helping out with tires.

“ It’s really good for New England because the nation has the PRI show out in Indianapolis, Indiana. A lot of people don’t get to go to that so this a nice smaller version of it.” Moran Said

Ryan Preece will have a seminar at 1:30 p.m. and Brad LaFontaine from Northeast Race Cars & Parts will have his seminar at 2:15 p.m.

Shawn Waddell from Waddell Communications will be on hand to do a seminar at 3:00 p.m.

“ Were gonna go up to the MassMutual Center and we’re gonna help in the first annual trade show. Try to knock it off for him and make it a success.” Waddell Said

This seminar will feature spotting techniques and the proper equipment to have and what the responsibilities are.

Jags Palmer from J&J Racing- Connecticut Legends will have his seminar at 3:45 p.m.

“ It will be a good quiet time of the year. Everybody is trying to get ready for next year. Here is where you can make plans either setting your plans in buying stuff or meet people and make arrangements what you going to do next season.” Palmer Said

The Legends Cars have become a development from some of the young drivers that have moved up into the bigger full fender as well as open wheel divisions.

Mitch Green from Crazy Horse Racing could not attend due to an illness and John Williams from Williams Race Gears could not attend due to prior business commitments.

The event will run from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tickets for adults are $10 for adults with kids 12 and under free. There will be free parking in The Riverfront Parking Lot and Free Shuttle Service by King Ward Coach Lines to the MassMutual Center.
