    Thank you Contingency Partners!!!

  2. From the Dareal Lionel Train Engineer File:
Whether it’s lecturing on modified chassis geometry and the superiority of Troyer, the evils of Donald Trump, analyzing exhaust as the cars “coast” through the turns, the physics of airplane flight there is literally nothing this guy doesn’t claim he knows. So it follows when he said this on 9/17/17 it must have been true for him.
“It’s extremely funny for me… TC is the same today as he was several years ago. Perhaps he has slowed down his rate of wrecking lately. But years ago, it was expected that he would wreck a couple cars a race, even his own. I would post what a wrecker he was, etc. and people would pile on and attack me while defending and praising TC. I laughed at all of it. But look today, TC is on the receiving end of the fan feedback, and it ain’t pretty. And he isn’t wrecking as much as he used to”

  3. Just Wondering says

A big thank you to ALL the sponsors that helped the racers keep racing. $48k is a great number and the other tracks should take note and follow Staffords lead. Stafford is a class act when it comes to marketing both itself and its racers. Now if they could only minimize the amount of extra cost shows featuring traveling racing series that cause a financial burden on the teams and us fans that support their weekly racing program.

  4. Doug,

I understand the two of you have this back and forth going on here, and I get that you like to dig up old comments and I don’t have a dog in this fight and I’m not taking a side. But, this comment you are referring to was certainly NOT posted the on the date you claim (9/17/17) it was posted and to say that someone posted that comment the day after someone died is really sinking very very low to take a shot at someone.

  5. please DOUG give it a rest its called obsession

  6. lets talk 2018 racing not just take shots at others

  7. Thanks Shawn it was time to shut him up, totally classless

  8. darealgoodfella says

Please, let him go on. I’m enjoying it. If any of you take the time and effort, you will see that Doug does not have clue regarding the content of what he is regurgitating, and he makes no sense whatsoever. Just look at the selfishness, crudeness, crassness, lack of civility, pathological narcissism, and total inconsideration he exhibited on the thread discussing the investigation into the plane crash that took two lives. He completely hijacked that solemn thread about the death of TC and the pilot for his own topics and pleasure. After reading Doug for the last couple weeks, Trump doesn’t look as bad as he used to.

I’m laughing my callipygian maximum glutei off!!!!! (Not a “Back to the Future” reference.”)

Clearly the guy can’t figure out who is peeing in his corn flakes. 🤮

I have to go out to the garage and change the fluid in my flux capacitor.

    🤣🤣 🤣🤣 🤣🤣 🤣🤣 🤣🤣 🤣🤣 🤣🤣 🤣🤣 🤣🤣 🤣🤣 🤣🤣 🤣🤣

  9. “Doug”, for crying out loud, get back on your medication. You are posting nonsense in the comments sections that have absolutely nothing to do with the article. Rambling petty, foolishness. Get some sleep! I’m beginning to think that Doug and “Jeffrey” are one and te same.

  10. Dareal it takes two and you happen to be the other,in case you hadn’t noticed!!!

  11. I like to think of myself as the site historian. My view I’m honoring the site, the owner of the site and all those that participate. So often comment section entries that are well thought out and well expressed are lost in the din of nonsense and ignorance. If you Shawn chose to ignore the content in favor of the date as well as the dozens of this guys belittling entries of TC as a competitor and man that is your choice. And if you choose to allow his use of foul anecdotes like what you emboldened him to repeat above and others related to flatulence then great,,,,,,,,,you’re the boss. I would suggest you construct another boiler plate disclaimer about “vulgar” language though. Unless one was raised in a barn as mom used to said that sort of stuff is vulgar in spades. “Vulgar” your word Shawn.
As for you others objecting to my bringing up what I consider some of the worst conduct using the written word I have a suggestion. Contact Shawn by email and have me banned and let Dareal and his stooges run free to bully drivers like Melissa Fifield and others. Go to More, and the contact section and give Shawn an ear full. Or my preference don’t be afraid. Look for the ID “Doug”. Then just skip past it and say what you were going to say. Just don’t pointlessly whine cause it’s demeaning.

  12. Thanks getserious.
Mostly I will be simply quoting others comments and try to focus them on the topic. I could have been mistaken when I took Shawns allowing Dareal to make unrelated and sometimes foul asides as being OK. I guess you’re a fan of his as well. True I think Dareal is an affront to civil discourse but he is my only grudge. I’m hoping Shawn allows my focus on him to continue but you raise a great point. As the self appointed site historian all those great comments I referred to. I should make it a point to bring them up as well if Shawn allows me to continue.
    Thanks again.
    Doug

Talk about narcissistic self-aggrandizing…. Doug has declared himself the self appointed site historian.

Do y’all know that one of the first things Trump did as President was to proclaim the 2016 Presidential Election as a significant historical event in the history of the United States?

  14. Honoring a person in death should be directly connected to how you viewed the person in life. I invite anyone to view how Dareal viewed TC in life compared to others. Who was civil, who was childish, who had respect even if not a fan and who was petty, mean spirited constantly lobbing sinister accusations.

    Dareal comments include:
-We’ll, at least TC isn’t walling cars as much as he used to.
-TC is hospitalized with profound dehydration from all the crying.
    – TC can dish it out but can’t take it. Whah, whah, whaaaaaaaah.
-TC playing the victim card after all these decades of being the Supreme Victimizer hypocrisy at its finest. TC can’t run and compete without the dirty stuff. To bad.
-It’s extremely funny for me… TC is the same today as he was several years ago. And he isn’t wrecking as much as he used to.
GMR… exactly. TC would never do a stunt like that back by the woodshed. He needs the crowd around to protect him for when he’s getting his maximum glutei kicked. It’s amazing how such a wrecker has a fan base.
-Not Fred Lorenzon, thinking is well out of the realm of too many people

There was nothing heartfelt that came from this guy. There was gauging the mood of the moment and getting on the record. He’s a big, fat phony that unlike virtually every other fan never showed an once of respect for the mans ability or value to racing in life.

  15. Shawn,
I would suggest you are taking sides. Clearly I got the date wrong typing the year as the month. The proper date is 9/7. Without hesitation you assumed the most sinister motive you possibly could have concluded. And predictably it was a giant softball to Dareal that included a repeat performance of the vulgarity he seems to get such glee in using. Moreover for whatever reason when virtually every other person follows your guidelines regarding vulgarity it appears you give this guy great latitude in using his foul expressions.
With regard to “digging up old comments” ………guilty. I value peoples comments. They may be anonymous but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a person behind them with values, intelligence or pettiness as the case may be. I don’t believe the comments section is like the movie Groundhog Day and everything prior to today forgotten.
Mostly I’m disappointed in myself. In general I believe the overwhelming majority of entries have been fundamentally respectful if at times too wordy. The exception being Dareal and any that chose to join his petty attacks or knock the trajectory of thoughtful entries with petty, unrelated asides. When everyone else piles on the controversial strings I make it a point to show interest in the accomplishments of drivers that get stories that no one seems to care about. I assume they see it and enjoy being appreciated. I’ve shown respect for drivers that join the conversation and asked pertinent questions to enrich the conversation.
Clearly if your first inclination after all that is to tag me with a thoroughly despicable, premeditated date change that would fool no one then I failed and must try harder should i be allowed to continue. With the exception of Dareal that is.

  16. OMG, these two are like a couple of little kids here! This is better that watching the news every night just to see what Trump did that day.

Doug wrote: “Honoring a person in death should be directly connected to how you viewed the person in life. ”

The way Doug totally defiled and destroyed the thread about the investigation into the plane crash that took the lives of TC and Dundas shows how little respect he has for TC, and the dead. It started on the opening post of that thread, and went on and on and on and on.

  18. darealgoodfella says

humphry, I’m convinced Doug is Trump. I read his stuff with a bowl of crunchy corn flakes, instead of popcorn.

Stunning how Doug destroyed the thread about the plane crash, while accusing others of disrespecting TC in death. Doug makes Trump’s audacious hypocrisy look like child’s play.

  19. darealgoodfella says

Doug wrote: “With regard to “digging up old comments” ………guilty.”

and “Mostly I’m disappointed in myself.”

He pulled these mea culpas before, only to continue, if not amplify, the trolling and hypocrisy.

I’m heading out to get more crisp, crunchy corn flakes. And get my flux capacitor winterized, and refuel the Mr. Fusion.

Carry on. Doug, keep disappointing yourself, you’re very good at it.

  20. darealgoodfella says

Doug wrote: “I would suggest you are taking sides”

The classic desperate cry. The ol’ play the victim card. Next it will be, “It not FAIR!!!! wha-wha-whaaaa!!!!”

    Wait for it.

Doug claims he is the self appointed site historian. Doug wrote, “I like to think of myself as the site historian. My view I’m honoring the site, the owner of the site and all those that participate.”

Why then, if I read Doug’s comments, do I dream of fishing, particularly trolling?

  21. Fact- drivers appreciate the contingency awards from all sponsors!
Fiction- The worthless comments that have nothing to do with this article.
Opinion- Doug just start your own blog, or better yet write a book, that will divert your time from writing comments on this site which are senseless, foolish and hold no merit.

  22. daReal – You ARE a troll, and take great pleasure in doing it. I believe that you get take much satisfaction in finding a willing participant like Doug to take you on. Please, for all that is holy, LET IT GO !!!!

Oh, and Doug, methinks that you are missing the support of many members in the site, including the site owner, so I would also respectfully request to you … LET IT GO !!!!

And now, back to our regularly scheduled racing rants.

  23. RaceDayCT has turned into the Doug and Dareal comedy show!

  24. As a fan, I’d like to thank all the SMS sponsors for supporting my chosen entertainment every Friday night!

On another note… I’m thinking of starting a GoFundMe to rent Stafford’s turn 4 sky box. We can lock D & D inside for the entire 2018 Sizzler weekend and take away the stairs. They can come out when they can be civil to each other. I’m not sure there’s a bathroom up there, so there might be an extra sense of urgency to complete the assignment.

    Who’s in?

  25. Barry great idea, lock them both in a room to fight it out and may the best man emerge the victor. One request though, TV cameras installed so we can televise it on this site. Could be one of the biggest PPV events ever!

  26. darealgoodfella says

Fantastic awards, hopefully Stafford can attract even more sponsorship.

  27. Great work by the SMS staff to be able to procure sponsorships and award that kind of money to the racers! It says a lot as to why you have such a successful weekly program. My one regret is that I don’t live closer to go there more often! Congrats to the entire SMS team!!
