  1. Just Wondering says

Wow this is great news, 7 events in CT, hopefully the other start up MTS series won’t be having so many events in CT to waterdown the racing as they did in 2017.

  2. Unpacking this simple press release says a lot. Waterford is a go and clearly has a plan for the stands issues if there even is a stands issue and Stafford in continuing a tradition with the series. Like it!

  3. Lee July 27th is day before traditional Star 125. Not sure Tri Track is loving that. Sounds like Monadnock has recognized their error with MTS and jumped back on MRS wagon.

Good point NH Mark. Since Monadnock has a scheduled a VMRS event next year the writing “may” be on the wall regarding the 2018 status of the MTS. Last year VMRS had zero dates and the MTS had four dates at Mad Dog in 2017, lets see how many the MTS gets in 2018. As a side note the VMRS banquet is scheduled for Dec 2nd, anyone have any doubts if their banquet will be cancelled? My guess is it will definitely go on as planned.

  5. Nice to see that many events on the schedule for the VMRS! I think increase back to 16 races solidifies their position as the #2 modified touring series, with TriTrack still as the “big money” series. Monadnock usually has 4 tour type modified races. It will be interesting to see what the others are. I went to 3 of the 4 MTS races there and a number of fans I see there were hoping the VMRS would come back, primarily because of the car counts.

  6. Should I be surprised that Seekonk is not on the schedule?

  7. Mubbus, no I don’t think so. The VMRS didn’t race there last year either. The former Seekonk VMRS date became an MTS race, which was in the top 2 for best MTScar turnouts.

  8. Sorry Muddbus, I’m no typist!

Looks like another blow for the MTS for 2018. If the MTS is going to have 10 races scheduled for 2018 most of them will be up North with a chance of a few possibly at the NLWS.

Below is a copy n paste from the Exit MTS facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/458130024359686/?ref=br_tf . As of 11.21.17 there are no MTS races scheduled for Monadnock.
