Episode eight of Unmuffled welcomes a man who got his start in Modified racing, became one of the most recognizable crew chiefs in the history of stock car racing and was recently inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Ray Evernham is featured on this edition of Unmffuled. He is also joined by Whelen Modified Tour driver Rowan Pennink and SK Modified driver Timmy Jordan.
Evernham will serve as the Grand Marshal of the NAPA Spring Sizzler on April 28-29 and talked about his excitement for returning to a track so steeped in Modified racing history. He also talked about the state of stock car racing, from the top levels to the grass roots, and his wildly popular Modified concept car known as The Ghost.
Pennink offered up some breaking news on the show, revealing that he’ll miss Whelen Modified Tour season opener on March 17 at Myrtle Beach Speedway because of recent back surgery.
And Jordan talks about his plans for the 2018 season with hopes to compete at all three tracks in Connecticut with his SK Modified program.
