Roster For Ladies Challenge Fundraiser Race At Stafford NAPA Fall Final Takes Shape

Last year it was Cassie Rocco – wife of driver Keith Rocco – and Maina Rufrano – wife of team owner John Rufrano and mother of driver Marcello Rufrano – hitting the track to raise money for charity as competitors in the final DARE Stock division feature at Stafford Motor Speedway.

The pair raised nearly $6,000 in donations for the American Cancer Society.

This year the idea for the charity fundraiser event has grown into its own race.

The roster has taken shape for the Ladies Challenge event to take place Sept. 29 at Stafford Speedway.

The Ladies Challenge will be a five-lap event contested in Street Stock rides.

The roster for the event and respective charities for each competitor:

  • Debbie Desanctis – Honor And Remember
  • Shannon DiCostanza – American Lung Association
  • Mary Ann Gambacorta – Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance
  • Nicole LaRose – Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary
  • Gail McClain – Alzheimer’s Association/Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation
  • Cassie Rocco – Mike Tidaback
  • Maina Rufrano – American Cancer Society
  • Tiffany Spinnato – Disabled American Veterans
  • Megan Surdell – Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research
  • Elizabeth Vassar – Ronald McDonald House Charities

Great job Ladies , See this growing to unbelievable levels. Well please be safe have fun and continue the great work. This looks makes you want to be a proud American people helping people. Let me know if they make t-shirts for this event I would sure like to purchase one. I will also be donating at the track.

  3. I like how they are moving it into a separate event this year. I think they were a little concerned about getting in the way of the other drivers racing for a championship last year. Great job ladies, they pretty much have a full field by limited and late model standards.
