STAFFORD – The dream season at Stafford Motor Speedway for Jeremy Lavoie just keeps getting dreamier and dreamier for the Windsor Locks driver.

Lavoie held off Alexandra Fearn over the closing laps to win the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway.

It was the eighth victory of the season for Lavoie.

“Man, eight wins a season?,” Lavoie said. “I never thought this would ever happen. But this car is awesome. I couldn’t do it without my family.”

Fearn, of East Longmeadow, Mass., was second and Duane Provost of Palmer, Mass. third.

Lavoie passed Andy Marchese for the lead off turn four on lap nine and never trailed again.

Tess Beyer of Stratton, Vt. scored her second victory of the season in the 20-lap Street Stock feature.

“This is awesome,” Beyer said. “I can’t believe I’m here right now.”

Meghan Fuller of Auburn, Mass. was second and George Bessette Jr. of Danbury third.

Comments

  1. No takers. OK I’ll say it. Lavoie is a great kid, good representative of the sport and it’s nice to see him in victory lane. It’s also nice to see Alexandra come from the rear and give Jeremy something to worry about.
It’s a shame. The LLM’s have some great teams and drivers and could be great under the right conditions. They used to be vibrant with good fields and good racing.
Something is wrong. Obsolete chassis, expense, SK Light fever.
All eyes are on Stafford to see if they make a change next year in the LM’s and LLM’s.

  2. The chicks are back. Who’d a thunk it. Tess Beyer winning one. OK it was her night and track position counts but this is different. 7th to 1st. This is a gal that is making huge progress as a driver.
Meghan Fuller a contender for the title. We all love Nicole and she’s at the top of the standings as well. And how about beauty contestant Samantha Anderson. Is it sexist to say that? Anyway give her a year and if she sticks with it she’ll be contending as well.
Give Stafford credit. Their rules are not consistent with any track and yet the division is gaining strength and money. And they have another extra distance event coming up with more money.
