  1. Except for Modifiedz Night, avoiding 6 tedious races of LM and LLM races has driven me to go to only the VMRS and Open Modified shows and I couldn’t be happier. Opening up with full modified heats blasting out onto the track in great numbers and the excitement of not knowing who will come out and line up in is outstanding. Streets are getting stronger and more competitive. SK’s and Lights are ALWAYS riveting. And you never know. Sometimes at the end of the season a race breaks out in the LM and LLM division features.
This Friday there should be over 70 modifieds racing at Stafford. No conflicts and it being Stafford and all should see over 25 VMRS teams doing battle in a series I think is highly under rated.
The odds that the series point leader Nocella won’t win are very high and that’s good. I don’t know what the deal is with Pennink but Dowling in the 25 seems to be a recipe for a win in my book. Goodale won an Open, has the built motor and car to win so he’s on the radar. Pitkat for sure. Savary, Ethridge will be competitive. Will Todd Patnode come out of the hills and see if he can bring his success with him. And how about Rocco? Will he drive the car that won a Waterford or one of the three others he’s appeared in?
As the porcupine would say, sucks for you if you can’t make it.

Gee Doug are you going to MAD DOG???

  3. I am fired up about the race this Friday at Stafford and wanted to see if I could illicit more feedback from people such as yourself wmass that know the series better. Obviously I made a bone head move by putting it initially under the Monadnock article. None the less the thinking is the same. Great track, great modified series. Any thoughts? Are you going to either and what will you be looking for?

JUST jokin with you Doug, not going to Monadnock, YESSSS to Stafford Friday, looks like a good lineup of drivers, woody, goody, rocco, willis, silk, Nocella, Savary, Pennink, Hinckley, MAX Zachem, Sam Reneau, Schneider. add sk, sk lites, 3 day weekend, nice cooler weather, PERFECTION as we near the END of racing seaaon

  5. Cool beans wmass.

  6. Crzay in NY says

No no no….. Doug is coming up to Chicopee to pick up wmass so you can drive to Spencer Friday
for the Tribute to Pops (leaty) race ( and Matt going for his first ever ROC win there) and then stay
over for the Oswego Tour race featuring ALL hot pitting. Give Stafford a week off, they’ll survive.
    THAT’S an ORDER!!! (wink)

  7. Doug may be going up to the Chicopee area for steel at Sullivan Metal in Holyoke or weed at the new legal dispensary coming soon in Easthampton. But it won’t be this Friday night when 70 plus modifeds gather at Stafford Motor Speedway.

  8. wmass01013 says

Crazy I think you should pick up both up to host us for the doubleheader!!

  9. Crazy in NY says
