Goodie Racing owners Russell and Jeff Goodale together with the Riverhead Building Supply brand are synonymous with NASCAR Modified racing constantly striving for excellence within the sport. Their iconic team bearing the RBS logos are no strangers at the front of the field at events across the northeast.

The 2019 season is shaping up to be one of their most strategically aggressive race seasons to date. To that end Goodie Racing in conjunction rising NASCAR Modified talent Chris Young of Calverton announced the Riverhead Building Supply team will compete for the 2019 Whelen All American Series NASCAR Modified championship at Riverhead Raceway.

Preparation for 2019 at Goodie Racing began at the previous seasons conclusion with the team owners laying the groundwork and preparation to win the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour title.

This chase has since expanded to their hometown race track Riverhead Raceway with an up and coming driver and his local race team. Second generation driver Chris Young, 24 has be tapped to represent Goodie Racing/Riverhead Building Supply in the competitive NASCAR Modified weekly racing at Riverhead Raceway. Young’s car will be outfitted in a familiar red paint scheme commonplace with his father for many years.

“To be able to represent some of the people who supported my father’s racing efforts for so many years is not only nostalgic but truly an honor for which I am grateful” said Chris, adding “my mission is clear, I have studied hard, worked even harder and now I have been given the opportunity and a winning combination to make this championship dream come to fruition”.

This potential for success has stoked much interest and excitement for the future. Chris’ goals are to be consistent, win races and take Goodie Racing, Riverhead Building Supply, Troyer Race Cars and his Dad’s memory to the 2019 NASCAR banquet as champions.

Chris’ father who is enshrined on the Cromarty Wall of Champions at Riverhead won 33 times in a NASCAR Modified ranking him 4th on the all time win list with a majority of those triumphs coming while flying Riverhead Building Supply colors.

Young indicated his team of associate marketing partners who’ll return for the 2019 campaign include CPC, Ray The Plumber, Aces Landscaping and Hang ‘N Bangers Bar. New to the team will be Arenz Heating & AC.
