Lime Rock Park, the historic motorsports and entertainment destination nestled among the hills of beautiful Northwest Connecticut, is gearing up for an impressive 2019 season, including three major events. Tickets are currently on sale at holiday discount rates, which will continue through Jan. 2, 2019, when advance pricing takes hold. Each of the three events will offer traditional racing matched with new features to excite long-time fans and newcomers alike.

“With plans well underway, 2019 is shaping up to be a noteworthy season,” said Skip Barber, Lime Rock Park President. “We look forward to offering spectators some of the best sports car racing in the country from Trans Am to IMSA, as well as a host of pleasing event activities suited for all ages.”

The season kicks off with the Lime Rock Park Memorial Day Classic featuring the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli with SVRA and International GT. Held over Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-27, 2019, the Memorial Day Classic marks the return of Trans Am to Lime Rock, a popular tradition going back to the ’60s and ’70s. The holiday weekend will also include the 10th annual Royal’s Garage Sunday Car Show with the addition of race cars on display, a celebration of 55 years of the Mustang and the second annual Farm-To-Track Picnic on Sunday, May 26, 2019.

The International Motorsports Association (IMSA) celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019 and Lime Rock Park, which has hosted the racing group since its early years, will mark this significant occasion at the Northeast Grand Prix on July 19-20, 2019, with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.

The weekend is set to be a festive tribute to the early days of the series, including throwback liveries and special appearances by racing legends.

Historic Festival 37, held over Labor Day weekend, Aug. 29 – Sept. 3, 2019, will highlight Italian motorcars as well as Formula Ford. During Sunday in the Park Concours d’Elegance and the Gathering of the Marques, where nearly 1,000 cars are displayed on the track, a special tribute will be paid to Italian brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Alfa Romeo and others.

A special race group will honor the 50th anniversary of Formula Ford, the significant development class for the best drivers in the world. Stefan Johansson, former Ferrari Formula 1 driver and current Scuderia Corsa sporting director, will be the special guest. Johansson was an acclaimed sports car competitor, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, who began his career in Formula Ford.
