INEX To Sanction First Two Bullring Bash Midstate Site Development Legends Events

(Press release from The Bullring Bash)

The first two Legend Car events in the history of the Bullring Bash Quarter Mile Challenge now have state, national, and even international title implications for many of the region’s racers.

Bullring Bash officials announced today that INEX has agreed to sanction both Bullring Bash Midstate Site Development Legends events at N. Woodstock, NH’s White Mountain Motorsports Park (WMMP) on Sunday, June 16 and Saturday, August 10.

Each event will now count towards the INEX Legend Car National Championships and State Championships, This means points will be awarded to all INEX members in the Pro, Master, Semi-Pro, and Young Lion classifications who attempt to qualify.

The stakes will be even higher at the second WMMP visit. The Thunder in the Mountains 35 is now an INEX Asphalt Legends National Qualifier. The top-finishing driver in all four INEX Legends classes will become eligible for a provisional starting spot should they attempt to qualify for the 2019 INEX Legends Asphalt World Championships at Swansboro, NC’s Carteret Speedway on October 17-19.

If the top finisher in any of these classes is already provisional-eligible, this eligibility will transfer to the next-highest finisher. For good measure, all National Qualifier events also award points towards the INEX International Touring Series Championship.

“Our sanction agreement with INEX allows us to enhance our offering to our US Legend Car teams,” Bullring Bash founder Josh Vanada said. “Not only will they receive points in their respective classes, but they will guarantee themselves a place in the international championship INEX offers.”

The partnership means the Bullring Bash will be working with one of the world’s largest short track organizations. INEX is the international sanctioning body for Legend Cars, Bandoleros, and Thunder Roadsters. It was formed in 1995 to organize and promote events throughout North America and Europe.

Since then, INEX has officially sanctioned more than 60,000 events on these continents as well as Africa and Australia.  With more than 3,500 active members, it trails only NASCAR Weekly Racing and the International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) in size among short track organizations. This year, INEX will sanction more than 2,500 events at more than 300 different tracks worldwide.

In addition to organizing events, INEX also works with U.S. Legend Cars International to promote uniform rules and safety standards. This includes releasing the annual INEX Rulebook as well as releasing rule changes, tech bulletins, and safety notifications to competitors as needed.

The Bullring Bash Quarter Mile Challenge will have additional announcements regarding registered teams, sponsors, officials, partnerships, and much more in the coming weeks.
