Stafford Speedway Racing Card Falls Victim To Rain Friday

Heavy rains early Friday combined with a forecast for more rain and storms through the evening forced Stafford Motor Speedway officials to cancel Friday’s racing card at the track.

It marks the second rainout in as many days for Connecticut short tracks.

Thompson International Speedway also rained out their event Thursday for the third consecutive week.

Stafford Motor Speedway returns to action next Friday with a showcase event for their Late Model division. The division runs its double distance night with a 60-lap Late Model feature scheduled. Stafford will also make up its Call Before You Dig Challenge next Friday. The event had been previously scheduled for tonight.
