Goodale, of Riverhead, N.Y., drove away from Silk over the closing laps, to win the 35-lap Tour Type Modified feature on the third night of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway.

Silk, of Norwalk, had won the first two events of the World Series.

According to The Chrome Horn, Silk was disqualified from his second place run in post race tech for an unauthorized tire changed.

Matt Hirschman of Northampton, Pa. was third on the track  in the 15-car field and credited with a second place finish. Andy Seuss of Hampstead, N.H. was third.

Goodale inherited the lead when Silk was forced to give up the top spot and head to the pits with a flat tire on lap 20. Goodale started on the pole.
