Since 2010 Vasseur has focused his racing efforts on his daughter competing on Monday night’s during the racing season as part of the Ceric Fabrication Wild Thing Karts series at Stafford.

“I was planning to come back for the last three races, but my daughter was doing so well, I couldn’t break my concentration on her to concentrate on myself,” Vasseur said. “I couldn’t be selfish. I had to devote all my attention to Nicole.”

“I was out of racing for a little bit. The Kopecs and Rory West and all the people that help my daughter go fast made me want to get back behind the wheel and do a little driving.”

Vasseur began his racing career in 1992 and has features wins at Riverside, Stafford and Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H.

“I think I have a realistic shot to make the Top 10, Vasseur said of the Sunday’s feature at Stafford. “I have the car and the team. I just need a few breaks.
