Phil Jacques Wins The New England Racing Fuel Support Performer Of The Week Award

NE Racing Fuel Support Performer Award

Phil Jacques had just been searching for a finish.

Six starts in the Limited Sportsman division at Thompson Speedway before last Wednesday and xi DNF’s.

Last Wednesday the Dudley, Mass. driver got that finish, in the ultimate way, getting his first career victory at Thompson in the 20-lap Limited Sportsman feature.

And this week he garnered more to celebrate the victory for. Jacques was voted the New Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award winner.

Jacques ran away with the voting for the award, garnering 135 of 223 votes cast (60.5 percent).

Tony Membrino Jr. of Berlin, who won SK Light Modified features at both Stafford Motor Speedway and the New London-Waterford Speedbowl, was second in the poll with 34 votes (15.2 percent).

 

 

Each week during the 2016 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.

Jacques will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.
