Sunday Phil Jacques got to live out a lifelong dream by winning on Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing Weekend at Thompson Speedway.
And the celebration of that victory has carried over further.
Thanks to his victory in Sunday’s 20-lap Limited Sportsman feature at Thompson, Jacques, of Dudley, Mass., won this week’s New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award.
Jacques is a rookie in the division and he got his first victory in June, and also won the Support Performer of the Week Award after that win.
Jacques collected 142 of 268 votes cast this week (53 percent). Eric Bourgeois of East Haddam, who won Saturday’s Mini Stock feature at Thompson, was second in the balloting with 73 votes (27.2 percent).
Each week during the 2016 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.
Jacques will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.
The final voting results for this week are listed below.

Thank You, Jeffrey! That’s very big of you. Apology accepted. No matter what division, we are all racers.
