Race three of the season for Sam Rameau and the Rameau Family Motorsports team will come with a chance for a big payday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 18. With $5,000 on the line in the inaugural Northeast Classic Tour-Type Modified 50-lap feature, Rameau is looking forward to heading back to the 1.058-mile oval to attempt to score one of the biggest wins of his career.

Rameau and the team are coming off a solid sixth-place finish in the Icebreaker 125 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on April 10. New Hampshire is known for a drafting-style of racing that keeps fans on the edge of their seats, and with no restrictor plates required for this special event, speed and steam will be key factors in deciding the winner.

“I think we will have somewhat of an advantage going into New Hampshire using what we have learned from Thompson,” Sam Rameau said. “I think we will be good up there. It’s going to be a big motor race, whoever has the best motor, and the best crew, is probably going to be the one in Victory Lane. Thanks to all of our supporters for making this trip possible.”

In previous starts at New Hampshire, which came with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Rameau had a best finish of 12th. He will be up against some of the top contenders in the Modified ranks including the likes of Bobby Santos III, Eric Goodale, Craig Lutz and more.

Racing begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday morning with qualifying heat races and will be followed by feature racing around 1:30 p.m. Tickets for general admission are $30 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and under. Pit passes are $50 for Sunday only or $75 for both days. All tickets and pit passes will be sold at the track. For those who can’t attend, Speed51.TV is offering PPV coverage of the entire day, including the Tour-Type Modifieds, Pro All Star Series Supers Late Models, American-Canadian Tour Late Models and more.

  1. A great deal just got better with a $5 off coupon for the PPV. Passing out coupons might not be a good indicator of how the early sales are going but that’s above my pay grade.
Don’t get you panties in a bunch sports fans. The delay one day simply shows how smart these guys are having it all in one day and building in Sunday for just this eventuality. May need Saturday for snow melt. Should be fine.
