THOMPSON – Corey Hutchings recovered from an early spin to rally through the field and win the 30-lap Limited Sportsman feature Wednesday at Thompson Speedway.

It was the second victory of the season for Hutchings, of Salem.

Larry Barnett of Moosup was second and Jesse Gleason of Lisbon third.

Hutchings, who spin on lap three, went to the lead past Ed Puleo on a restart with eight laps remaining.

“The car was so loose,” Hutchings said. “… The thing wasn’t running very good, but circumstances helped us out a lot. A big crash at the front got us track position. I was trying to be patient and it got better the longer we ran.”

Dave Trudeau of Mansfield won the 15-lap Mini Stock feature.

John Zych Jr. of Mendon, Mass. won the 25-lap Northeastern Midget Association feature.
