THOMPSON – Sunday morning showers have given way to clearing skies at Thompson International Speedway as crews prepare for day three of World Series of Speedway Racing Weekend at Thompson International Speedway.
As of 12:20 p.m. track crews were feverishly working to dry the track.
Pre-race festivities are expected to begin at about 12:30 p.m.

Sixteen divisions of feature events are on tap over two days at Thompson, highlighted by the season finale and championship deciding event for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
Schedule
Friday: Practice for numerous divisions beginning at noon. Qualifying for Mini Stocks, Pro 4 Modifieds Limited Sportsman, New England Series, Thompson Modifieds, Outlaw Mini Stocks, Outlaw Late Models and Outlaw Strictly Stocks beginning at 5 p.m.
Saturday: Qualifying for the Whelen Modified Tour, ISMA Super Modifieds NEMA Midgets, Valenti Modified Racing Series, SK Modifieds and Super Late Models, beginning at 2:15 p.m.; Features (5:45 p.m.): 75-lap Valenti Modified Racing Series, 25-lap Late Model, 20-lap Mini Stock, 20-lap SK Light Modified, 20-lap Limited Sportsman, 20-lap Thompson Modified, 20-lap Pro Four Modified, 20-lap New England Truck Series, and Outlaw Mini Stocks, Outlaw Strictly Stocks and Outlaw Late Models.
Sunday: All features, beginning at 1:15 p.m. 150-lap Whelen Modified Tour, 30-lap SK Modified, 50-lap ISMA SuperModified, 30-lap NEMA Midget and 30-lap Super Late Models.
