On Monday President Barack Obama will make a campaign visit to the Granite State, and New Hampshire Motor Speedway executive vice president and general manager will have a gift waiting for him in Loudon.

Gappens was putting some tickets at the will call booth Friday in Obama’s name for the July 15 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at NHMS.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway is celebrating its 20th year of hosting the Sprint Cup Series when the division returns to the track in July and Gappens believe a presidential presence will make the celebration all that much better.

“If the president wants to be part of our celebration then we have tickets printed, ready and waiting for him,” Gappens said in a release from the track.

“To my knowledge he is one of the few recent, acting presidents never to attend a NASCAR race in person. With the rich tradition of New Hampshire’s ‘First in the Nation Primary,’ and great racing action here at’ The Magic Mile,’ this is a perfect place for him to come. You can’t get more ‘Americana’ than a NASCAR race!”

For those without Presidential clout, tickets for the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 are still available at nhms.com or by calling the NHMS ticket hotline at (603) 783-4931.
