Kicking Off The Weekend At New Hampshire Motor Speedway

LOUDON, N.H. – Wake up, wake up, good morning from New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

We’re bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and ready to go with Lenox Industrial Tools 301 weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Ok, maybe the bright-eyed part isn’t entirely true.

A schedule change this year at New Hampshire Motor Speedway has changed things up dramatically. No more is there NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour qualifying on Thursday at the track.

And we miss that Thursday scheduled. Thursday’s was always the perfect day to slowly ease into every NHMS race weekend.

Instead Thursday was spent covering a PASS North event at Thompson International Speedway and then making the run north.

Maybe Taco Bell for dinner in Manchester, N.H. at 1 a.m. wasn’t the best idea. Oh well, we’ll fight through the burps.

So here we go, rolling on a handful of hours sleep and ready to cover the goings on all weekend here in Loudon. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is on the track to kick things off today with practice from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

The Modified Tour practice will be followed by Nationwide Series practice at 11 a.m. and then the Sprint Cup Series will take to the track for their first practice of the weekend at noon.

Strap in for the weekend ride.
