This weekend’s local racing schedule definitely packs some thunder.
Anyone storming through the local race scene Thursday through Saturday will get special events at all three state short tracks.
All dependent on how nice the weathermen will be of course. Who knows.
Thursday
What: Valenti Modified Racing Series and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Racing
Where: Thompson International Speedway
Schedule: 75-lap Valenti Modified Racing Series, 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified, 25-lap Late Models, 20-lap SK Light Modifieds, 20-lap Limited Sportsman, 20-lap Thompson Modified and 15-lap Mini Stock
Info: The Valenti Modified Racing Series returns to Thompson for the second time this season. Current series points leader Rowan Pennink won in the division’s first visit to Thompson this year on May 20. For more information check the Thompson Speedway website.
Friday
What: CarQuest SK 150 Night and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Racing
Where: Stafford Motor Speedway
Schedule: Twin 75-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified, 30-lap Late Model, 20-lap SK Light Modified, 20-lap Limited Late Model and 15-lap DARE Stock.
Info: After getting rained out last week, the SK Modifieds take center stage with 150 laps of racing over two feature events Friday. For more information check the Stafford Speedway website.
Saturday
What: Nostalgia Night, NEMA and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Racing
Where: The Waterford Speedbowl
