Thursday Valenti Modified Racing Series Event At Thompson Speedway Postponed To Sunday

With forecasters calling for dangerous weather across the state Thursday, Thompson International Speedway officials took action early.

Thompson management announced early today that the Valenti Modified Racing Series event scheduled for tonight at Thompson, along with their six-division Whelen All-American Series race card, has all been postponed.

The full event will be made up Sunday at Thomspon Speedway.

“The threat of severe weather being forecast for the entire state made the decision to postpone this race an easy one,” track owner, Don Hoenig said in a release from Thompson Speedway. “However, the best alternative date to run this event proved to be Sunday, July 29th. The Valenti Modified Racing Series has a very busy schedule for the balance of the summer and we did not want to have to cancel the VMRS 75-lap feature event.”
