Two Thompson International Speedway Competitors Suspended Indefinitely

THOMPSON – A pair of Thompson International Speedway Mini Stock division competitors have been suspended indefinitely following an altercation during last Thursday’s racing card at the track.

Mike Gorgievski of Auburn, Mass. and Trevor Michalski of Killingly were handed indefinite suspensions by the track this week.

The pair were involved in an altercation at the track following a Mini Stock heat race.

Both were arrested by Connecticut State Police at the track and each was charged with breach of peace following the altercation.

Thompson Speedway director of competition Josh Vanada confirmed Thursday that the pair have been suspended indefinitely.

Michalski was part of a group of competitors suspended indefinitely from the track by NASCAR for being involved in a group attack on Mini Stock division competitor Rick Blanchard at the track on Aug. 19, 2010. That indefinite suspension against Michalski was lifted prior to the start of this season.
