Doug Coby To Pull Double Duty In Relief Of Keith Rocco Saturday At Waterford

STAFFORD – The Keith Rocco – Doug Coby Show will continue at the Waterford Speedbowl Saturday night, times two.

Coby will not only step in for Coby in his SK Modified at the Speedbowl, but Coby will also drive the Late Model that Rocco has driven for much of the season at Waterford.

Coby, of Milford, has driven in relief of Rocco in the last two SK Modified events at Waterford, while Rocco recovers from a broken wrist he suffered in a practice crash on July 29 at Thompson International Speedway.

With Late Models running a 50-lap feature Saturday, Coby will climb in the seat of the Scott Fearn owned car that Rocco drove to three victories this season before the injury.

In the last two SK Modified events Rocco has started the car and been relieved by Coby behind the wheel. Coby raced Rocco’s SK Modified to a victory on Aug. 4 at Waterford.

Saturday Rocco will start the SK Modified feature and give way to Coby as soon as possible. Coby will start the Late Model, despite his arguments to let Rocco start it.

“He gets all excited about making the driver change,” Rocco said.
