Hello partnership.

Boehler, president of Boehler Racing Enterprises, confirmed Monday that Christopher, of Plainville, will drive the team’s car in the Whelen Modified Tour Budwesier 150 Thursday at Thompson International Speedway.

“I’m excited,” Christopher said. “It’s a good car. The car goes good. I like Thompson. They seem to always run good at Thompson. They’re going to run their newer car. We’re going to run it one race and see how it goes.”

Keith Rocco ran the first six events of the season for BRE before a wrist injury sustained on July 29 in an SK Modified practice crash at Thompson knocked him out of the ride while he recovers.

Rocco, of Wallingford, had surgery on his left wrist Friday and is unclear when he will be able to return to full-time competition.

Christopher lost his ride on the Whelen Modified Tour when team owner Ed Whelan unexpectedly shut his organization down just days after the Town Fair Tire 100 on July 14 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

In his first Whelen Modified Tour event since Whelan shut down his team, Christopher raced to a fifth place finish in a Joe Brady owned car in last Friday’s Stafford 150 at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Steve Masse of Bellingham, Mass. drove the BRE car at Stafford Motor Speedway and was involved in a crash that left him 23rd.
