Thompson Notes: Tommy O’Sullivan, John Lowinski-Loh Jr. And Cam McDermott Keep Up Domination

THOMPSON – Tommy O’Sullivan held off John Falconi over the closing laps to win the 25-lap Late Model feature Thursday at Thompson International Speedway.

It was the second consecutive win and ninth victory overall in 14 events this year at Thompson for O’Sullivan, of Springfield, Mass., in the Late Models.

Falconi, of Oakham, Mass. was second and Damon Tinio of Mendon, Mass. third.

In the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature it was Cam McDermott winning for the fifth consecutive week.

It was the 10th victory in 13 events this season at Thompson in the division for McDermott, of Scituate, R.I.

Troy Talman of Oxford, Mass. was second and Corey Barry of Plainfield third.

John Lowinski-Loh Jr of Milford, Mass. kept up his nearly as impressive domination of the Thompson Modified division.

Lowinski-Loh passed Brian Tagg for the lead on lap 15 to win the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature.

It was the ninth victory in 14 Thompson Modified division events this year for Lowinski-Loh.

Bill McNeil of Putnam passed Steve Kenneway of Lowell, Mass. on a lap 17 restart and went on to victory in the 20-lap Limited Sportsman feature.

Kenneway held on for second and Larry Barnett of Moosup was third.

Jay Sundeen of Douglas, Mass. was second and Tagg, of Oxford, Mass., third.

Chad Baxter of Pascoag, R.I. won in the 15-lap Mini Stock feature. Steve Violette of Canterbury was second and Travis Jurcik of Chaplin third.
