Former Stafford Motor Speedway SK Light Modified division regular Tommy Barrett Jr. returned to the half-mile oval Friday in triumphant fashion.
Barrett, of Millis, Mass., won the Valenti Modified Racing Series Shark Cycle 80 at Stafford.
It was the first career victory in the division for the series rookie.
Rowan Pennink of Huntingdon Valley, Pa. was second and Jon McKennedy of Chelmsford, Mass. third.
Barrett took the lead from Pennink following a restart with 11 laps remaining and then held off Pennink on another restart to pick up the victory.
