Donny Lia Leads Whelen Modified Tour Practice At New Hampshire Motor Speedway

LOUDON, N.H. – Two-time series champion Donny Lia paced the field in NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour practice Friday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in preparation for Saturday’s F.W. Webb 100 at the track.

Lia, of Jericho, N.Y., turned a fast lap of 28.952 seconds (131.556 mph) on the 1.058-mile oval.

Qualifying for Saturday’s event is Friday afternoon.

Rowan Pennink of Huntingdon Valley, Pa. was second fastest during the 1 hour and 45 minute practice session at 29.196 seconds (130.456 mph).

Reigning series champion Ron Silk of Norwalk was third fastest during the session, followed by Ted Christopher of Plainville in fourth.
