Tommy Barrett Jr. Valenti Mod Series Winner At Waterford; Keith Rocco Takes SK Mod Win

For the second consecutive event the rookie reigned surpreme in the Valenti Modified Racing Series.

Tommy Barrrett Jr. of Millis, Mass. followed up his first Valenti Modified Racing Series victory by scoring consecutive wins. Barrett won the division’s 100-lap feature Saturday at the Waterford Speedbowl.

The 17-year old Barrett picked up his first series victory last week at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Chris Pasteryak of Lisbon was second and Rowan Pennink of Huntingdon Valley, Pa. third.

In the 35-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature it was Keith Rocco of Wallingford besting the field on the way to his first win in the division since July 14.

Rocco’s twin brother Jeff, of Wallingford, was second. Kyle James of Ashaway, R.I. was third.

Dillon Moltz of Waterford won the 30-lap Late Model feature. Bill Leonard of Charlestown, R..I. won the 25-lap Mini Stock. The 25-lap Street Stock feature was postponed because of rain.
