With a forecast calling for thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening, Waterford Speedbowl officials made the decision to make an early cancellation call on tonight’s scheduled Wings and Wheels Show at the track.
With three touring divisions on the schedule for the evening, the makeups of the events will be done in two parts.
Aug. 18 at the track will be billed as the new Wings and Wheels show with the International SuperModified Association and Northeastern Midget Association returning to the track. A revised schedule and ticket price will be announced for that day’s event.
The Valenti Modified Racing Series will make up their event on Sept. 8 at the track.
It will mean three straight weeks of events at Connecticut tracks for the Valenti Modified Racing Series. The division will run on Aug. 31 at Stafford Motor Speedway and again on Sept. 14, which is a makeup of a rainout from June 22.
