Ryan Preece of Berlin will be driving the Cantor Racing No. 47 Midget in the 30-lap feature for the Northeastern Midget Association during the 9th CarQuest Super Saturday show, which was formerly known as Extreme Tuesday.

“It went pretty well and on Sunday they offered me the ride for Stafford,” Preece said in a release from NEMA. “Obviously, I’m looking forward to it.”

Preece is also a participant in the Champions for Charity kart event Saturday at Stafford. Also on the card Saturday at Stafford is a 50-lap ISMA SuperModified feature and a 25-lap Pro Four Modified feature.

Preece is the current points leader in the SK Modified division at Stafford. He also runs full-time in the SK Modified division at Thompson International Speedway and on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. He is in third place in the standings, with one victory, after five events this year for the Whelen Modified Tour.

Preece had two top-five finishes in NEMA action for Bertrand Motorsports in 2007 and finished third in an event in 2008 at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H. in a car owned by Bob Santos.

“I’ve always wanted to get back in a Midget,” Preece said. “You really have to be up the wheel in those things.”
