Thompson International Speedway Ready To Open For A Pair Of Testing Days

It’s said that practice makes perfect.

And Thompson International Speedway will be giving teams two days to get perfect in the coming weeks.

Thompson will hold its first open practice in preparation for the 2013 season on March 30. A second practice day is scheduled for April 6.

The practice sessions are open to any safe racecar and are scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for both days. Paddock gates will open at 9 a.m. on both practice days.

Practice sessions will be conducted on a rotating basis equally for all divisions on hand. Grandstands will not be open for the two practice days. Fans can purchase paddock admission, though anybody entering must be at least 14 years old. Those 14-17 must have be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Thompson Speedway opens for the 2013 with the running of Icebreaker weekend April 13-14. The showcase event for the weekend is the season opener for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. The Granite State Pro Stock series will also make its Thompson debut for Icebreaker weekend along with features from Thompson’s SK Modified, SK Light Modified, Late Model, Limited Sportsman and Mini Stock divisions.
