And this weekend the local racing scene in Connecticut is owned by the Waterford Speedbowl.
The Speedbowl runs its third NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event of the season Saturday night.

A victory last week, coupled with a 17th place finish from Keith Rocco, put reiging SK Modified division champion Tyler Chadwick back at the top of the standings. Craig Lutz chases Chadwick in second, five points behind and Ted Christopher is third, nine points off the lead. Rocco’s bad night dropped him from the points lead after winning the season opener, to fourth in the standings. … Rocco goes looking for his third Late Model division victory in as many events this season Saturday. Rocco is running in the division full-time for the first time this season. Reigning division champion Dillon Moltz is 14 points behind Rocco in second place in the division standings. … Corey Hutching is looking for his third victory of the season in Saturday’s 25-lap Street Stock feature. … Garrett Denton goes into this weekend with a 9-point lead in the standings over reigning Mini Stock division champion Ken Cassidy Jr.
