Favor Returned: Josh Galvin Comes Back From Blown Motor To Win Street Stock Feature At Waterford

WATERFORD – Josh Galvin came out on top of a three-wide battle to the checkered flag to win the 25-lap Street Stock feature Saturday at the Waterford Speedbowl.

It was a triumphant victory for Galvin, of Franklin, who was returning the track after blowing his motor last week at the Speedbowl.

Galvin said it was all thanks to Vin Beedle – the owner of his primary sponsor, Mr. Rooter – that he was able to return to the track. Beedle helped Galvin secure a motor during the week.

“There was really nothing salvageable,” Galvin said. “We didn’t know what we were going to do. We had a lot of help. My sponsor, Mr. Rooter [Vin Beedle], he stepped up. That guy just doesn’t quit, he doesn’t care what happens. He’s in it and he’s 100 percent. He stepped up and made it happen, got us another motor.”

Joe Arena of Bristol was second and Chris Meyer of North Franklin third.

Galvin edged Arena by half a car at the line.

“That’s the best,” Galvin said. “It doesn’t get any better.”
