Now the reigning champion is streaking.

Brunnhoelzl, of West Babylon, N.Y., passed Tim Brown on the final to win the Whelen Southern Modified Tour Spring Fling 150 Saturday at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, N.C.

Brown, of Rural Hall, N.C., held on for second. Kyle Ebersole of Hummelstown, Pa. was third.

On the final lap, Brunnhoelzl tapped the rear bumper of Brown in over the closing corners. When Brown slid up the track, Brunnhoelzl made the move low to grab the victory.
