Ben Kennedy made his first K&N Pro Series East victory one that won’t soon be forgotten.
Kennedy, of Daytona, Fla., led every on the way to victory in the NAPA Auto Parts 150 in the inaugural K&N Pro Series East event at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Fla.
“It’s so cool to come here to Pensacola and win,” Kennedy said in a release from NASCAR. “This is a track with so much prestige and this is phenomenal.”
Kennedy dominated the day at Five Flags, leading the way in practice before going on to winning the pole for the event in qualifying. The 21-year old Kennedy is the great-grandson of NASCAR founder Bill France Sr.
Gray Gaulding was second and John Van Doorn third.
